| 2009 Section Meeting Voters |
A list of the Southwest Section members eligible to vote at the annual meeting of
the Southwest Section is available.
Proxy forms for voters not voting in person must be presented to the Section Secretary by 1 PM on the Saturday of the meeting. (There are two proxy forms on this sheet, and it would be appreciated if sheets were cut in half already when presented.) Please contact Jaimie Ailshire at secretary@southwestfencing.org if you have items you would like added to the agenda. |
| Southwest Sectional Championships |
Information and pre-registration for the 2009 Southwest Sectional Championships can now be found at askFRED. Regular price
pre-registration is available, with pre-payment, through the end of April 3rd. If paid within one additional week thereafter, there is a $40 late fee. Thereafter, there is a $60 late fee. You must
also complete and sign the waiver of liability and present it at
check in. The presentation of the awards for the top finishers in the Southwest Section Circuit Cup and the annual Southwest Section business meeting (open to the Section membership) will also be held at this tournament. |
| Austin Challenge | Pre-registration for the South Texas Division's SSCC tournament, the Austin Challenge, is at askFRED. Early registration required pre-payment by the evening of Aug. 5. Thereafter, registration cost an additional $10 until the evening of Sep. 9, then another additional $10 thereafter. |

| SSCC Points | SSCC Point standings are available, utilizing the new formulations (see the SSCC News page). |
| USFA Club Membership Form | The 2006-2007 USFA club membership (and optional insurance) form is now available. It is not yet available on the USFA's own Web site, but it is available on the "USFA Materials" page of this Web site. |
| Age Limits for USFA Competitions | Jerry Benson has information about age limits for USFA competitions. |

| News from the USFA Board | Jerry Benson has information from the September 2005 meeting of the USFA Board of Directors. |
| FOC Rules Interpretations | The USFA Fencing Officials Commission (FOC) has published a document with reminders of certain rules which are brand new (or still recently implemented) for the current fencing season, and elaborations about standard refereeing practices and standard rule interpretations. Referees are advised to print and study the document. Fencers too can benefit from knowing in advance what to expect that referees will do. |
