Notes:
- The "Current" column indicates whether the USFA membership is current or last year's.
- An "X" indicates a current USFA member.
- If there is no "X", the member has not renewed for the current year. Or else, the member renewed outside the
Southwest Section since the last time information was received about expired members (Aug. 6).
- The "Membership type" column indicates if the member may compete.
- Membership types Associate and Parent Associate are non-competitive members. To compete, such
a fencer must prepare new paperwork and pay the difference to upgrade to a competitive membership.
- Membership types Family-Non Competitor (primary) and Family-Non Competitor (add) are
non-competitive members. Family memberships allow no more than two of the members to be competitive, and
any additional competitors need to be part of a different family membership or a competitive individual
membership.
- All other membership types are competitive.
- If a USFA membership form is filled out by putting the name of a club in the first blank for that purpose but
checking the box labeled "School" (a common error for people who compete for USFA purposes in a club which
is associated with a school), the club column becomes blank. (Members are advised to mark "school" only to
distinguish between their USFA competitive club and their NCAA fencing school, when the two are not the same.)
- The "Y12" column (if it is present), the "Y14" column, the "C" column, the "J" column, the "S" column, and the "V" column indicate
if the member is of an appropriate age to compete in Y-12 events, Y-14 events, cadet events, junior events,
adult events ("senior", "open", events not explicitly declared to have some other age restriction),
and veteran events respectively. Note that the cadet (U-16) and (individual) junior (U-19) championships
at Summer Nationals, and the divisional and sectional qualifiers for them, use the age restrictions for the
following fencing year's cadets (U-17) and juniors (U-20), not the current fencing year's.
- Y indicates the fencer's year of birth is acceptable.
- N means the fencer's year of birth is not acceptable (but, except for veteran, presence on an
appropriate NRPS list might render the fencer eligible).
- ? indicates the fencer's year of birth is not known, hence the acceptability of the fencer's year of
birth is unknown.
- ADDITIONAL MEMBERS: Unofficial Additional Membership List
Notes:
- This list includes additional membership information, not in the official Section membership list, of two sorts.
- Contributed information about USFA memberships with payment submitted to a Divisional Secretary or other duly appointed agent, which should eventually appear in the official list of members of the Southwest Section.
- Fencers outside the Southwest Section (who will never appear in the offical list of members of the Section) whose USFA membership status was already researched for some reason, and the results were contributed.
- The format is identical to the official Section membership data above, except as noted below.
- The "Primary Club" column should show the primary club of the fencer, but there can be exceptions.
- Primary Club UNKNOWN! is a fictitious club. It indicates that the member has been
determined to be a member, but the source of that information did not include club information (e.g.,
membership information taken from the USFA Web site list of members, which does not give club information).
(By contrast, if Primary Club is blank, there is club information available for this member, and the member
has no primary club.)
- The "Membership type" column should indicate if the member may compete, but there can be exceptions.
- Membership type Competitive is a fictitious membership type. It indicates that the member has been
determined to have some competitive membership type, but neither the specific type nor the length of
the membership has been determined.
- Membership type unknown is a fictitious membership type. It indicates that the person has been
determined to have some membership, but there is no information available about even whether the
membership type is competitive.
- CLUBS: Southwest Section Member Clubs | Download Excel Document
Notes:
- Rows in black print currently member clubs of the USFA. Rows in red print are
clubs which used to be member clubs of the USFA but which have not renewed their USFA membershp.
- Because of the details of how MS Excel files translate into HTML, the "Southwest Section Member Clubs" link
sometimes shows clubs with one or more words missing from the ends of their names, where the "Download Excel
Document" link shows the entire name overflowing the spreadheet cell containing it
